Decamo has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Koni ride height adjustment modification.

I remember reading in a Audi forum that you can lower your car by having your struts modified only. You just take your Koni's and have a machine shop make new grooves in the strut however lower you want the height to be. This way you can assemble the strut with the perch slightly lower.

This might be useful for ppl who have lowering springs but want to go lower still or ppl who would like to lower with stock springs.
I wonder if it can be done with the stock struts. I don't see why not. Of course you cou'ldn't go extreme 'cause it would bottom out.

i think it would be easier on konis cause of how they're built.. not sure i'll look into after i get back cause i gotta go somewhere. do you have a link to the post? i would think its possible but might be a little pricey. as for bottoming out, you could always get it rethreaded... i dunno it just seems like getting true coilovers would be cheap still.
