This tread is for everyone who was laughing at the satun vs kia drag video....3 of my friends just got done racing tonight....one has a 2002 Civic LX(Exhaust,Automatic), 2001 Civic EX(Stock,Automatic), and a 1994 Saturn SL2(Muffler,Standard). The race was from a 35 punch, with the two civics up front and the saturn playing tag along...starting at 2 cars back. Well....by the time the civics hit 100, the saturn was a good 5-6 cars ahead. Now ok, yes...the saturn is a standard, and the two civics were autos, but still...he pulled about 7-8 cars lengths from 35 to 100 mph.....but anyhow...the point of the tread is.....you shouldnt be hatting on other peoples cars when u think they are "slow" or whatever...and as it turns out...the "slow" saturn took two civics down at once tonight.

um.... summary of all the unpunctuated paragraph please...maybe i should start typing like this, then everyone would know what I was talking about i mena hey it ywould look like one big long sentence, I am not afraid of a saturn I have raced a SL2 whne all I had was exhaust and beat him fairly easily, but when he used Nitrous he beat me by like 6 car lenghts, but hey it's ok because i have something that will desimate all now, I hope my paragraph looks nice and neat like yours have a good night. and ur website sucks.... I'd beat a saturn. On my bike, in my EG hatch with a b18CR swap, and yes, in my seventh gen civic coupe. Saturns =
have not met a single one that could take me.

With just basic bolt ons, saturn will out run em all day long. Unless these two civics just got raped out of 50 HP from the factory, but hey, it all happened, got video if no one believes me.

post the video.... I'm not hatin/dissin, but I fly by Saturns in my LX Auto all day long, and, I drive Saturns at my work L200's, L100's... they are not fast

Seriously even IF (and i stress the IF) a Saturn is faster than my car it still is nothing but a recycling bin on wheels... most people would take a Civic over a Saturn anyday just because a Civic is a higher quality car... and looks hella better...

btw dont even list exhaust as go fast mods. or for that matter, a muffler too.

I dont even bother racing my car, cuz its so dang slow. I can't imagine why people with cars slower than mine will be going around racing it. is it even worth the risk??

and btw, as for saturns.. I never have any personal experience with them... I think their dent less doors seem like a neat idea.. and I heard they treat their customer good... hence the large amount of loyal saturn owners out there... but so far, none of their cars really appeal to me.
the new Ion seems kinda neat though.

I just think they're fuggin ugly.

A 7th Gen with a 5-speed would've done the same thing to an auto Civic any trim... even from an 80MPH roll. Your point?

And yes, Saturns CAN be faster than our cars, duh. I don't see ULEV on their engines. The only reason why that video was funny is because it's a domestic car looking like a rice rocket. (Even though THAT Saturn looked slow as hell... who knows if a 7th Gen Civic could take it... all we know is that it was riceified.)
