will it fit??
I just got off the phone w/ the tirerack people and they say that the 01 civic's should have 205-40-17's....i have 205-40-17(which make u seem like ur going faster)...i was wondering will the 45 series tires have less of a gap on goldline springs? ive only seen the gap with 40 series tires? which tires should i get? 45's or 40's??

i personally would get the 45s, they are closer to stock. n yes the fender well gap will be reduced by around .4"(which is alot btw) but your ride height will be increased by .8"
well this is comparing your 205-40-17 tires to 205-45-17 tires... but ya 205-40-17 are too tiny for 17s, get the 45s...

I got 45's because the odometer will change the least and they are better protection for those potholes we have in baltimore!
