Incase you people did not know the MR2 has an engine that runs through out the whole car and into the trunk! So I believe your all wrong and owe this guy a big old SORRY. Even though it look's like SH@T!

he has the air scoup coming off the rear on the top/side....so its obvious the engine is in the rear....guess he just wants to slow his beast down with that extra drag

Um... He does have the legit intake on the rear quarter above the window. Maybe the fake on the hood is for looks....

Whos cares, the car will prob. spank most of ours... My friend has an Mr 2 Turbo that runs in the 12's off a custom turbo setup.

Hmm. JDM or no JDM, all mr2's are MR cars: mid engine, rear wheel drive. That means the engine is behind the driver, but before the drivetrain. Having a scoop on the hood does absolutely nothing, even if there were a hose to connect it to the engine from the front its too inefficient to do anything. People have some interesting theories on the mr2 in this thread.
