Would white LED's be illegal because they really don't simulate an emergency vehicle ( red and blue lights) and that is basically what makes them illegal right?

Actually, LED's are supposed to last 11 years constantly on.
It won't drain your battery, i doubt it. I'm sure they'll burn out quickly though.
No they will not drain your battery. LEDs draw almost no power. But, You're probably going to have everyone on this forum coming to rip them off. So just do it yourself and save us the trouble.
Dude their goin to drain your battery!! take those off ASAP!!

I'm going to be different and say that, since you obviously like them enough to put them on, don't take them off because a bunch of idiots you don't know tell you to. Instead, rewire them so that they come on with your parking lights. That would be intelligent. Besides, you can't really see them well during the day anyway, so it's a waste. Don't take them off, just rewire them, and continute to ignore idiots.
Technically any color washer led's are illegal, at least in PA, because you are not allowed to have ANY lights in the area above your headlights and below the top of the windshield. I know it because I had alot of court cases because of my light bar on my jeep and cops saying that it was illegal, but since they were above the windshield and covered, they were legal.

You could set them up to come on with your parking lights like Vizyun said or set up an independent switch so you can flick them on and off whenever you want to. whatever you decide to do, I think it's kind of pointless to have them on during the day...
They won't kill your battery, so don't worry about that. Also, hooking them up to come on with your parking lights would probably be best. Ignore the PWing idiots here. I can't believe you only got about 5 real responses out of 2 pages

.
Yeah, washer LED's are fine man - remember it's YOUR car, not theirs. I have blue ones on mine, and I hooked them up to a switch so I can turn them on and off as I please. That's probably the best way to do it, because depending on where you live the laws change. I was told that you can only have white or amber on the front of the car, but apparently in PA you're not even allowed that above the headlights. So if they're white then you could try it, and if you get pulled over for it then you'l know. Good luck!
BTW - what'd you wire them to so they were on 24/7? As I said mine are on a switch, but the parking lights still have to be on because that's what I wired them too. Oh, and if you decide to hook them up to a switch, beware - the firewall is a b¡tch to get through ...

Really? A $90 fine per light? What is the charge? Here in Cali it's just a fix-it ticket, and that was for hyper white ones, which supposedly looked "blue" to the police officer.

I dont think you'll have to worry about them draining anything , they should be ok. I know a few people that keep their's on all the time and soom that have them set up where they flash the hole time their alarms on and so far no problems. Like others have said keeping them on during the day is pretty pointless, but if that's the way you like em more power to you.

i wanna get a switch but its kinda complicated even with the DIY, and that radio shack employee didn't know crap about it. but i'll try another radio shack. so besides blue and red, other colors are legal? also is it for sure having LED Screw in the back (red) is legal?

ok i'm going for the switch, i have to get all the parts from radio shack first. so basicallly just connect the red wires from the LEDs to the switch, and a pair of wire from switch to the battery right? isn't like easier to just get a 12v switch and bolt it somewhere in the front?
If you get a lighted switch you have to ground that as well. If you have a stereo power wire going through your firewall, try to go through the same spot as that in the firewall. If not, then I dont know what to tell you cause that's how I did it even though im sure their are plenty of ways to do it.
