Door Handles...

I've heard people talking about shaving door handles but have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. It'd be great if someone could explain it and maybe even post a close-up pic. 'Preciate it.

Sorry I don't have a pic. Basically "shaved" door handles are when, stock handles are removed, then where the handle was the door is "smoothed" with some sort of chemical.. it maybe bondo but I highly doubt this. Anyway once the door is "smoothed" a remote latch control is installed... some of this some of that, and when you push the button.. do door pops open just enough for you to open it entirly... do a search for "shaved handles" on google pic search, and you will see it.. it's actually pretty cool... but i can't honestly say i have ever seen it on a 4 door... hmmmm.

EDIT: everytime i respond to anything someone else seems to do it before i can... bahh
I could tell you to search but im not gonna be an azz.
Its when your door handles are removed and filled in and painted to give the car a more sleak apearance. To open the door without handles you use something called a door popper which is an device kind of like the remote door locking clicker deal where you press a button and the door pops open. Heres an example:

thats my baby...
anyways, yah, doors handles were shaved and a remote door popper was installed. let me tell u from the perspective of someone who has this mod... its definitely NOT all that its cracked up to be. to be completely honest... its kind of annoying. everytime i want to get into my car, i have to push the button, then pull door open. about 99% of the time the door opens, but when it doesnt, its a pain in the @ss! i have to use my key and climb through the trunk. pretty embarrassing, especially when it happens in populated areas. a lot of the time i wish i had my door handles back! oh well, whats done is done...

What's the deal with the remote door opener? Exactly what's it called, where can you get it, and how does it work? And judging from the one guy I'm guessing it's not all that reliable. Anyone else got a different opinion?

the door poppers are really the only thing you can have to open the door w/...or u could tie a hanger around the inside handle and leave it hanging out the door and pull on it when you need to open the door ...i kno someone that did that HAHA
