I AM SCRER

Well, to begin things......
I was working on Tuesday night and my friend showed up. Lucky for me (or unlucky) I still had a break left so we went outside to my car so I could show him my strut bar. 4 African American boys riding bikes rode past us and turned around and came back to us to ask if we had cigarettes. Neither of us spoke so the answer was no. Of course, one of them rode past my car (not knowing it was mine) and smeared his hand across it. I said something like "please don't push on my car I just washed it" Then they all came over and said "this is your car?" because they didnt think i could afford it. Then they started pestering me asking how much it cost, what year it is, how much did i pay for my rims......etc..... I tried making everything seem less than it was to hopefully devalue it to them. I had to go in because my break was over. MY friend came in about 2 mins later telling me to keep an eye out because they were riding around the lot by my car. He left and came back in 2 min later to tell me there was a big dent on the driver side door. I was literally . I am 17 years old and every dollar i make goes into this car. Now I have a huge dent in the side of my car and 3 estimates of $650, $900, and $1500 with a 500 dollar insurance deductable. IF something like this hasn't happened to you before. All these scenarios run through your head. What if I didn't have a break left when my friend showed up? Why did I have to say anything and let the kids know it was my car when the kid touched it? Why didn't I drive my car to the other side of the building and tell them I was going home? There are just so many things I feel I should have or could have done. God, I wish this was the end of my story.

Today I was to install hp header, skunk2 exhaust, and denso plugs. The header wouldn't fit so we decided we would worry about that later. The exhaust went on without a hitch. The plugs.....This is the worst part. Simple 10 minute job right? Yeah Right. My brother got the right wrench to get the plug out (5/8) but it was a tight fit inside the sleeve. Well, long story a little less long, the socket got stuck inside that sleeve. We tried and tried to get it out and no luck so we took the valve cover off to get a little better access. I let my brother handle this because he is about a year into an ASE school called UTI. I am not going to try and remember how it happened, but that sleeve around the spark plug got bent. We decided it would just go to a machine shop. On top of everything, one of the long bolts that goes into the back of the valve cover broke off on the threads inside the head!!!! This caused all this conflict between my brother and dad because tempers flare in my family when there is any garage work done. Now I am stuck in the middle of this because my brother feels responsible for screwing up work even though he was doing it for free. I fel so crappy right now about what just happened but I don't have the money to fix this, along with the cost of the dent plus the fact that I pay $385 a month for car related payments. I Don't know what to do. I just posted to help get some of this off my mind. I basically have a brand new car sitting in my garage with so much work needed to be done. I can say for a fact that this will be the last mod I do to my car. Once it is all fixed I am done because I don't have the time or money to deal with this as a high school senior.

I felt like driving my car off a cliff today to just get out of all this. My friend with an 84 camaro told me that I am so lucky to have the car I have and sh.it is gonna happen. I am so depressed right now that you don't even know.
If you have anything to say, please reply. Whatever it may be.

Yeah man you know what that really does suck. I mean you obviously put a lot of effort with the car only to find 4 dumbasses on bikes bash it because you have a nice car and they are riding bikes. It makes you think about certain things. Like what has this world come to and such. The basic thing is to avoid confrontation and never draw attention to things.

But look at it this way: it's in the past. Fix the dent, do what you gotta do, and move on. Don't dwell on it. You learned something from this experience anyway, so there is a bright side. Good luck.

Yeah I feel for you
someone dented my car its just the size of a penny but f**k who the hell wants a dent on there car?

Anyways
from this never happnin again I suggest you start throwing dirt on your car and make it VERY dirty
and take off your rims for the time being and put the rims on when you REALLY need it
But all I am saying is don't make your car draw attention. What I do is when I don't want attention I start driving in puddles of water then dirt. I mean who looks at a dirty azz car anyways?

So thats just my opinion is to keep your car dirty
just wash n wax on those special days I guess

Have you checked with a paintless dent repair place yet, like www.dentwizard.com ? If it's fixable, it may only cost you $100-150 to get the dent poped out.

i totaled my mom's car 3 days after i got my license. I got two things that day:

1: a debt of $2,000 (difference between cost of bought out lease months earlier and insurance's payment to us)
2: one piece of advice: "sometimes sh.t happens, you know?"

I pass that second one on to you, as it seems like you've got the first taken care of.

Oh man! Dude sorry to say ur gonna stop moddin cars but things happen. In ur case it was a chain of huge accidents. I got that too but not as severe. I was once like you..accutally last year to be exact. New car and still young age. lookin to work on cars as a hobbie but stuff got screwed up. Money is also a big issue so if I were you I'd jus let it off and repair the car so it can atleast run and don't worry about the dent on the door. I mean I got tons of dents my estimates were near a grand. I have money to fix it jus by workin my butt off. Next time be more careful and install things with people that kno and have past expierences with what you are tryin to do...
I cried when I see ur from IL damn. Try to bring it for the meet atleast man.
Good luck.

Yeah that does suck. As for your dent, I'd try not to worry about it too much, because sh*t does happen unfortunately. I am also 17 and most of my money goes towards my car as well, and there are a lot of jealous kids that will wanna mess with you because you have a nice car and they drive some rolling wreck or no car at all. Anyway I guess what I'm saying is I can relate...my car has been more trouble than its worth, not that it's been problematic, but that its just too much for me to worry about.

hey man, i know exactly how u feel...thanksgiving day last year, i got into an accident in my car, my front and rear bumpers were both fugged up, and then a week later, my spoiler was ripped off of my car, leaving bad *** dents in my trunk....i get my back fixed, but about 3 months ago, sum jackass hits my car in tha parkinglot while i am in class, and now, there is a big *** crack on my windshield tha is about half the length of it...thats not to mention the dents and dings from people who dont know how to watch out for other people's things...and i aint gonna lie, that $h!ts pretty depressing...but i just saved up a GRIP of money..money that coulda been used on rims or sumthing else, and just recently ordered a new painted trunk lid from hondawerx, have a new front bumper in the shop, and have a rear bumper comming in...about the dings/dents..i dunno when i could get those fixed...but yeah, u just gotta look at things in a positive attitude...as hard as that may be..but those kids are gonna get whats comming to them, and for your car, just save up and get it done, and its over with..so yeah..just my lil sob story..keep yer head up. payce
