I've had this problem ever since i got the civic..but never thought it was a big thing or should I worry? ..but anyways..whenever I drive from somewhere maybe let's say at least over 5 miles..and then i turn off the car, i get like Ticking sounds from my car..like the sound of metal after it's very hot..i don't know where from but i think like under my hood somewhere. at first i thought i was like oil dropping on some metal..but the sounds has nothing to do with any liquids leaking. The sound does stops after it cools down. but does anyone have the same sounds? Im just curious to know if this is normal or not...

[IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG]if not mistakin,,this is normal just dont let it bother u,,mine does the same,the metals is gettin cool off and it shrinks cus it expand when hot.

Its probably the oil dripping off the crank shaft and hitting the inside of the oil pan. Its normal.

Just your headers/exhaust cooling down, no big deal there...

mine does the same thing so i think it's normal.
My corolla does that too but the ticks are faster.
