drop vs rsx rear anti-sway bar
drop vs rsx rear anti-sway bar
ok i dont have a drop on my car. im just curious, do you feel body roll with your drop? i just got the rsx rear and the body roll is nill compared to the stock sway. now its harder to make the tires squeal around a turn than it used to be, which i like. what i didnt expect was my friend telling me that my back tire left the ground when i pulled an e-brake turn in front of him. that normal?

left the ground? as in the tire actually off the ground?if thats what u meant then its caused by a too sharp turn, lucky u didnt tip over the ride.u could have done much better on that stunt if the car was lowered (lower center of gravity).ever done a180degree turn on wet pavement? its fun.
When you drop your car with the stock 12.5 rear anti sway bar remaining (that's on an EX BTW), you get less body roll and of course can turn considerably better than stock height. After my friend Bill dropped his car as we speed sometimes, he'd ALWAYS leave me on turns that're hard for stock suspension (all I have are grippy tires which helps some but not enough). His stock rear anti-sway bar looks kinda silly though.
But compared to a car without a drop with a bigger anti-sway bar, you're gonna get less body roll and depending on the size of the sway bar, you might get some oversteer without lowering the car. It's still pretty cost effective especially for those who want coilovers.
I remember someone saying that this was the best order to modify your suspension:
Wider tires
Drop
Shocks
Anti sway bar
I can't say anything about your rear tire leaving the ground after pulling up the e-brake... that's crazy... it sounds like you need to slam your car now.
