indiglo aftermarket shift **** trouble!
:Thanks ya'll for previous tips about the shift ****. I am trying to do it myself. 2 things...I don't know which wire to hook it up to! Which one is the parking light under the center console?? There are a million wires! Or do I run it to the fuse box, and which fuse??! How do I ground the black wire?
Second, it appears the shift boot is going to sag when I put the aftermarket **** on. There is nothing to hold the boot up like on the stock ****. There is a small nut that screws on, but it has slipped off that repeatedly
I have taken off my fuse panel and put the **** on and it looks sweet, but with all the trouble I am about to leave the stock one on!

Sometimes, I can see right through myself ...

As for wiring it, run a wire to something that has 12v constant while your car is on, like your cigarette lighter. You can run the wire underneath the center console and up behind the dash and just tap into the wire there. As for grounding it out, find a place on your car that is metal and just screw it down there with a ring terminal on the end. Super easy to do. No real reason to run it to a fuse at all. If you're super-concerned, I'm sure they make small inline fuses that you can buy that you'd put on the power side.

Hey Taz,
Thanks man, but it says on the instructions not to wire to a constant live wire like the 12V because it will burn out . It says to wire to the parking lights wire so it is on only when the parking lights are on, which is cool. What about finding the damn parking lights wire?? One guy said it is red. There are a million red wires.
And, what about the shift boot sagging? It does not stay up with just that screw they sent with the ****.
