HID & system

OK, i'm running a 6000K HID kit and one 10" Pioneer sub w/ pioneer amp(pushing around 200 watts *shrug*). My question is, would I need a capacitor? I don't see any dimming @ the moment, but i'm thinking about adding another 10" sub. I'm about to get everything custom inclosed, so I want to make sure I have everything before I do the enclosure. Should I get a Capacitor just to be on the safe side? What else should I pick up to be on the safe side? extra battery?

Thanks,
Steve

You really don'y need one at this point however it wouldn't hurt to add one. There's nothing wrong with adding a cap as it puts less strain on your alternator, also if you've got the money for it now I say go for it! Who's to say you'll have the money for it when you get another amp?

it just puts more strain on the battery. a cap is a bandaid, it doesnt get rid of the problem it just covers it up. like mohawk said unless your pulling some serious amperage then you wont need a cap (but if your pulling alot of amps then you need to upgrade the alt.)

If your pulling 500-700Wrms that's when you'll get dimming..this is where a cap can come in handy to stabilize voltage at the amps... More power than that may require a H/O alternator to keep up. However by that point your ears will give up before your electrical system..
