Best HU for $300 or less + other Q's

I'm on a budget here and I'm looking for the best HU for less than $300.
I'm looking at either the Pioneer Premier DEH-P740MP or the Alphine CDA-7893, but i'm open to other HU too I want the most bang for buck.

Also, this might have been asked before but our dashboard looks trapezoidal instead of rectangular, how do you guys all manage to fit the HU in that enlarged area of the dash??

I personally like the alpine myself, but the front and rear preouts only run at 2 volts... theres a few clarions in that price range too... also, you gotta remember its partly based on what you think looks best...
um... they fit
i dont know what youre asking
or are you asking about the trim
you buy a mounting kit

Here ya go.. it's what I would go for in that price range...

Also the HU's are mounted using a mounting kit which includes a trim piece to fill the trapezoidal shape they run for about $12-15

if possible then try to find the premiere version. It has a 2 year warranty and a few more goodies.. I believe thezeb.com has them for $289 still

i wish i could remember which one it was but there is an eclipse HU that tweeter is selling and its a great deal. It has an 8 volt outpout so when you add hook it up to the amp you can turn the gain down a lot, putting little stress on the amp. go to tweeter!

Eclipse 8051 also eclipse has a strict no online sales policy. If you buy something online you have no manufacturer coverage at all..I used to have that HU now I have the one that's one model below it and Subrage has the 8051

I have the pioneer premiere deh 7400mp and love it...plays mp3's and all that, tons of features, sweet display...and the sound quality is good too.

www.onlinecarstereo.com has them for like $269 + shipping/handling...great price though.

i got the kenwood kdc mpv619 for about 230 locally, but i'd recommend the mpv7019 cause it has an extra set of preamp outputs (3 total)
