Is it possible to use previous generation OBDII ecu's with our generation civic. Say for example, the 94-95 civic ecu? Thanks for the help.

NO. Here's why:

Different maps for everything: Ignition, fuel, timing.

Different calibration for different sensors.

Edit: Correction, the above assumes no mods to, or hacking of the ECM...which is (I think) now possible, thanks to Hondata, so it may yet be possible; though very expensive. Might as well shell out the ca$h for a stand-alone engine management unit.

Hondata is basically a standalone engine management system. The 4b is the same thing as the AEM ECM, with very few differences, and around the same cost. Hondata is currently working on a replacement/hacked ECM for the RSX and new Civics. It'll be the same as before, take yours out and send in, they replace some chips, add sensor plugs, etc, send it back, then go get it tuned somewhere. Expect around middle of next year, with costs about the same as for previous gen Civics.
