Drove my friend's Integra Type-R...
it was nice . i didn't like the steering feel or the shifter though. does anyone else not like really short throw shifters? it feels unsatisfying to me. the throw from 1st to 2nd was like 1 inch. hmm. pretty quick. they raced his stock type R vs a Si w/intake, and the Si lost by around 2 car lengths apparently. i like my slow civic better though. i drive slow. drive safe guys!
a friend of mine has a 2000 type-R, the only car that i would get in a yellow. its really sweet and fast but he doesn't let anyone drive it. but as much as i like the old type-Rs i would much rather have a new rsx-s.

why? its slower, handles worse, costs more (can only get used ITRs now), stops in a longer distance and carries none of the prestige that a comes with a real R car.
all true, but i guess it's just a personal preference.

EDIT: part of it would be the sunroof and leather seats. and theoretically the lost hp could be made up with a few simple bolt ons.

are we forgetting that the ITR weighs 300lbs LESS then the RSX-S plus has mujch better gearing and a 300% tighter chasis (yes it is indeed NOT just a GS-R chasis with a different engine).
Limited slip differential...
Lowered height...
Better camshafts...
Custom made connecting rods to handle high RPMs...
Better fuel injectors...
Better crankshaft...
Better intake and exhaust manifolds...
Lighter flywheel...
Ok, that's enough.
