ATTN: People with Ground Control Coilovers...HELP! I have Noises in the front

I just got my ground control coil overs installed today, and the drop looks great but i have a weird noise when i turn the wheel in the front left spring...is it normal? or should i be worried? I heard some one once saying it will go away, but it soundsl ike the spring is getting twisted or like squashed or something...i dont know? is it normal or not?

Any help pleassseee?

Tell me this, have you taken off your tire and inspected your gcs? Are you sure it has to do with the spring. The strut is not the only part to move when you turn the wheel.

almost everyone has had this problem with ground controls or skunk2 coilovers.....if you go to "suspension performance" in the upper toolbar, im pretty sure there will be a thread on this subject, if not search for it!....a couple ways to fix it is either buy another rubber piece from honda that goes between the top hat and the top of the spring, or you could get some oil and rub it all over the two.....i have this problem also, just havent had time to fix......oh yeah and dont worry about it, nothing is gonna break....it's just metal hitting metal !!!

New springs will do that - they need to be broken in also.

I was driving today and I heard that noise again. I've had my coilovers for about 8 months now. Every time I hit a bump it makes a popping clicking noise in the front left. This is normal right

like alltech01civic has said it probably isnt doing any harm, just metal hitting metal... i know with springs most of the noise is caused by the spring touch on the bottom perch... your supposed to put a rubber tubing between it and also, the top perch has to be aligned right. not sure what the exact problems with coilovers are tho.

TuffVietta should not be trusted

i think that link helps. just purchase the coil isolators then stick it above the spring. anyone know which size would fit skunk2 coilovers?
i'm really getting tired of the clicking noise whenever i turn.

they basically prevent the springs from rubbing against the top/bottom perch. the tube is like the stock ones that go on the bottom of the spring(where it sits on the bottom perch). my car didn't come with it... only if i knew of that earlier...

Vibrations are the roots of the noises. I heard GC have a poly-urethane upper perch. That could be the cuplrit(one of them) and the other is the spring. The bearing on the strut(how our car turns) could also be making some noise.
