New Honda combo key+fob
Check it out. This is from the new 2003 Honda Accord brochure. Who knows, your next Civic/EL key could look like that too.

AWWWW, don't tell me they added a trunk release to the fob.
edit: wait, I just read it again. ACCORD fob. A guy at work has an accord and I was jealous of his fob w/ trunk button. I guess Accords get electric trunk release and we get a cable.

Those things are the biggest pain in the A$$... my mom's Jetta has one of those all in one things... It's a big square and the key flips out the side on a spring, it's heavy, not shaped well to fit in your pocket and just a pain to carry around. Plus they're over $100 to replace just one of them. Just like cell phones... they keep makin' em smaller so you can lose them easier.
sounds like this new Accord is starting to creep into Acura TL territory with some of its features like second-gen navigation, 240hp w/ a 6 speed and even a remote that opens and closes windows? Anyone know of a redesign for the TL? They share a similar platform, I believe....

I don't think this new key is like the VW one. It's more like the BMW one. And with regards to replacement, have you checked how much it costs to replace your coded Civic key?
And I don't understand your comment about "... they keep makin' em smaller so you can lose them easier." It's the size of your key. If that's too small, are you constantly losing your keys now?

I'd *** wit it I love that movie. I wish my fob had the pop trunk feature
At night I try to open my trunk and scratch up my $hit.
