Seemed more realistic than I thought. Impressed that MTV made a decent show... but those kids getting pulled over for illegal equipment were 100% ricers. Glad they put in the side of the police but I was pissed as hell when the cop said that aftermarket equipment was generally poorly made and dangerous. Everything else wasn't too bad, I kinda wish I had something to complain about but it was pretty well done. Or at least for a MTV show marketed to young teens...

I actually liked it... It was much better than last night's show!!!! I sorta can relate too b/c I used to live in San Diego and have been to the race sites (such as Firehouse) but we didnt get locked down like they did... It wasn't a foney type of show like the "Flipped" one last nite.. Two Thumbs Up...!

I guess what I am saying is that you can't always believe that the upgrade is just that. Chances are, if you're not careful it can be a downgrade.

Explosivo... very true about some aftermarket products being faulty, but the law makes all of them suspect. There are massive amounts of parts on the market that are safer and more reliable than OEM. What got me was the cop saying how tuner's cars are throughly searched for anything at all that could remotely be considered a violation and that most aftermarket parts are dangerous. Overreaction to a very small problem on the part of the police. I know that they don't make the laws, but they generally decide which laws get the most attention.

i jsut finished watching it...i missed the first 15 min tho. but i thought that it was pretty ok. i live in san diego, but i have never been to the races. i really don't see any point in watching 2 (or 3) people racing at 100 mph+ on streets where other people are. i just don't. thats what the tracks are for. although, there really isn't any place that is open 7 days/wk for this stuff. the one guy, greg, made a good point when he said that the cops/cities shut down all the drap strips/racetracks. he said give us a place to go, or make street racing legal. i agree that they should have a place to go, open 7 days/wk so that the streets are free of people who think that they know how to race, but crash instead........
just what i think.......
just what i think.......
Man, that police inspection scene was totally set up. Everyone was all happy and making jokes, even when the guy was getting towed. Greg was weak as hell with his Japanese Integra.

The police showing up wasn't a setup. Street racing is a criminal offense...they are free to interrupt it at any time.
Did anyone notice that the officers were using Nextels? That's so it can't be picked up on the scanners. We do that sometimes out here.

just so everyone knows - the only time the show was in San Diego was when the cops rolled all those guys for racing - the rest of the time they were taping us, we were in Orange County (Anaheim, Buena Park) and that guy greg is a total poser - he is not even a street racer - they totally showed him in the right light - a poser who doesnt know how to drive and who cant work on his own car - they were going to do the whole show on him, but when me and my freinds saw greg with all the MTV cameras at are meeting spot (which greg had never even been too before) we said if MTV wanted it to be TRUE LIFE the would follow Mike and Eugene around because they are real racers - Zero4 is the race crew and Flawless is the show crew - sorry had to get that in - it pretty much showed what goes on in OC every Tues and Thurs night in the right way without twisting it all up and making it into how MTV wanted it. and that 4 - door LS VTEC really is that fast - and none of the show was set up or fake - at least not when they were filming us
