Intake resonator...
I took the intake resonator off two days ago and I am putting it back on tomarrow. I got on the autobahn(freeway in germany) and my car was doggin bad. I had almost no power. I usally mob at 127mph, the top speed and today I couldn't get above 110 mph. Also I got real poor gas milage. I recomend if you are thinking of taking it off, just leave it on and save your money for a real intake. The sound nor the gas mileage is not worth it.

We rent new BMWs and mercades just to mob as fast as we can to Frankfurt. The fast lane is only for passing. And if someone flashes there lights behind you, you better get over. Its cool until a semi trys to pass another semi and you go from 110 to 55 mph mad fast.

well guys, I hadn't known of this site before i did a custom intake job. Heres what i did. Around here autozone sells the intake tubing for the mid 90's civics. I used that piping & trimmed it to fit where the resonator would normally be & just stuck a filter to that. It works just fine & only cost $40 US. The sound isn't as loud because the airbox restricts the flow & the piping is so short. but like i said its a heck of a lot better than just no resonator.

well, when I had my SRI, I think my top speed went outta the window along with my torque. I couldn't hit 120+ too.
and I had worse mileage too (2-5 mpg less)
shows you that those Honda engineer had that resonator there for a reason besides keeping the throttle volume down.
