Spacer Size

I have some plywood in my garage to make my spacers with. I have a bunch of 3/8 inch plywood. Do you think that will be thixk enough?

with a 2" Mounting depth...it almost definately would be.. if not.. use the supplied speaker ring/ grill holder for that exta 1/8"

ok. I will try it with just the plywood tomorrow and if that doesn't work, I will get creative. I'm going to be taking a bunch of pictures.

installing RAAMmat and speakers tomorrow. Hopefully it goes quickly. Probably only doing the rear deck and front doors with RAAMmat for now. I don't have that much time.

I started working on my car this morning at 10:30 or so and I stopped at 4:00. All I have done is 1 layer of RAAMmat on the front doors and the 2 front speakers installed. I kept shorting out the speakers when they touched the metal door frame. I finally got them up and running and they are good. They are upside down, but that doesn't really effect the sound at all. I still need to EQ them so that they sound the way I want, but they are good for now. It was hot has he11 out there and now I am freakin sunburnt. I might install the rear speakers tonight, but I don't know. Just thought I would update you.
