magnaflow exhaust, any problem going over speedbumps?
magnaflow exhaust, any problem going over speedbumps?
question, knowing that honda went with a new type of exhaust where they got rid of the "bump" in the back seats....does this affect how the pipes are placed in the car?
can you go over speedbumps with the exhaust without worrying about your exhaust getting torn up??

I have a magnaflow and have had no problems with it at all, if you install it your self you can position the the pipes pretty much were you want them to go. Over all magnaflow is a great system for the price

if you dont have magnaflow then dont assume, the pipes are very strong and the system is great quality, its just an allignment problem to get the pipes high enough to not scrap. My pipes dont grind on anything any more, and I save some serious money with magnaflow catback from only 300.........
I had small grinding problem with my magna, but that is with a 1.75" drop. I paid $75 just last week to get my system hung up higher and welded together (previously held by together with u-clamps). Best $75 I've spent in while, system is now hung up nice and snug close to the undercarige and no more scraping!!

the pipes under the car run under the shift ****, then head towards the passenger side, and then back. The old exhaust ran farther back to about the rear seats and then went to the side. The res use to be right under the center console and is now right infront of the right lower control arm on the rear suspension. It does not give you room for a 18" res(reason why I changed it to a 12" for clearance). I scraped parking in my parking garage and at my college with the 18" res(which was located at the center of the wheelbase).
I have this exhaust got it from group buy on here $300. It is a quality exhaust I don't srape on anything. Best exhaust for the money I love the way it sounds. Beleive me we have alot of speedbumps around here. I would get the exhaust welded on that is what I did .

i got mine from the group buy for 300 too and it was the best 300 bucks i ever spent. i love it. i am at stock ride height and never scrape or hit it. not on speed bumps or driveways or anything.
anyone know if the Magnaflow gets in any way of installing a rear swaybar??
I heard that some exhaust make it so you cant install a rear sway, is that true?
who has both on their cars?

The road around my area sucks and I never scrapped until I lowered my car. Since then, I bent 2 exhaust clamps and had to fix my exhaust everyday! I was fed up with it, so, I ended up getting it welded! Welding it is the way to go!
I'm lowerd 1.75 inches and magnaflow only scrapes when I drive like an idiot. I think the magnaflow was a great buy, and I love its deep tone and the fact that it is not obnoxiously loud like some exauhsts. When you install it, just position the pipe so it is like 1/4 inch away from the heat shield and turn the clamps so that they are touching heatshield. If you have to use an open ended wrench to tighten it, so be it!
