Difference in fiberglass and urethane. Fiberglass body kits, receives paint well, but BREAKS easily, urethane Is harder to paint, usually takes an extra layer, but it bends, usually cracks when bends, i figure just get fiberglass i dont believe urethane is worth the money because you have to paint it frequently or so i have heard.

if you take your kit to any reputable shop they will know to put a flex agent into the paint when they paint your kit, like they would on any urethane bumper, and then the paint will not peel or crack, urethane isnt harder to paint, it just takes an extra step. Fiberglass is a pain to paint because pinholes develop easily and can be seen through the paint, especially if it is a poor quality product which most aftermarket body panels are, unless they are BOMEX, VeilSide, Kaminari etc. EREBUNI and So forth make pretty crappy products that almost never fit. I would suggest going to Urethane because its what your OEM bumper is made out of, simple as that.
