The blow off valve will have no effect until there is a turbo on the car as well. The blow off valve vents excess pressure from the intake line when the throttle intake shuts, and without a turbo to build this excess pressure, the blow off valve will do nothing. There is a cheap POS exhaust blow off valve that builds pressure while driving and expels it when you shift, and fits inside the exhaust tip. This can be seen easily from the back of the car, and sounds nothing like an actual blow off valve (not to mention it is in the back of the car while a real blow off valve is in the engine bay) but is about the only thing you can do except the speaker one 01civicboi mentioned. You could mount a blow off valve onto any of the CAIs or SRIs, but it would never do anything but sit there.

Senior Member?!??

and joined in April 2002.... yea, what ever.

If you want a sudo-real blow off valve... this is what you need. Compressed air, 12v electric solenoid pneumatic valve, relay or two, and maybe a switch or two...

You could either rig up some kind of switching method on your shift stick, like inside the boot area. So every time you shift into gear, it makes an electric connection. Then you could have that triger either a relay or the valve itself, and release the preasurized air.... like a real blow off valve.

So there's an idea n00b

Yes, you think your post counts make you a senoir member. I've been on this site(ASWZero) for almost a year(guessing b/c my car is a year old). I might not have as many posts as everyone on this sight. I feel sorry for all the people who are at work and are on this site but other than that a: get a life or b: work on your car. If you do not have any money, its not hard finding a job.
