port & polish q's, plus a throttlebody q

How much hp would port and polishing the exhaust and intake make? (I am not talking about Gude and don't want to in any way increase the compression as it's high enough already for a turbo application.)

Is it also possible instead of boring out the factory throttlebody to replace it with a larger one from let's say a gsr or even from an itr?
-What would be the difficulties in doing so?

(P&P exhaust and intake) + (bigger throttlebody)= about how much hp increase?

thanks guys

I'de say an increase of 10 horsepower tops (at the crank). Although I'de count on gaining about 5. Depends on what rpm you're talking about though. Just the polishing without the porting would yield an increase throughout the entire power band. However, increasing the size of the runners will yield increases in the higher rpm range. Now, Honda's engine design is probably optimized for around 3,000 rpm's (based on rpm's at freeway speeds). This would mean that the more you port the intake and exhaust ports, the higher up the increase in horsepower will be shifted and the more horsepower will be gained. If you optimize it for 6,800 rpm's, then you could stand to gain up to 15 horsepower. If you optimize it for 4,800 rpm's, then you could maybe gain only 5 horsepower. Please do note that these numbers are totally arbitrary. They are my best guess. However, the theory of the increases that I have stated is sound.

Jon... where have you been man? You missed all of the drama... They should turn this site into a soap opera for TV. Spider partook in some not so nice behavior for a mod, and pimpdakota got dropped all together by D.
