installation w/ 2 amps
2 10" subs running off of a 1000 w 2 ch amp.... i have installed component speakers in my front doors and i would like to power them from another amp identical to the first one... i have already pulled all the speaker wires, i'm wondering what i need to do to get power, remote switch, and inputs into the 2nd amp -- can i do this w/o going back to the deck? can i use the original power wire or do i need 2? (another 1 to the battery)... fuse distributer? etc etc.
also i wired my 2 10's so that i have a total impedence of 4 ohms.. on one channel. my amp has a switch on it for stereo and mono. in the manual it says that when mono is activated only the left input is used. does this switch make any difference in the amount of output power by the amp? i would like to get both left and right. should i hook up these subs to 1 channel or do the bridged connection? and which switch position should i use? mono or stereo? thanks for reading this novel.

run your power and ground wire into a capicitor...running 2 amps and one of them being 1000w your going to need at least a 1/2 faret.
Off of your capacitor then run 2 power wires to each amp and 2 ground wires to each amp. You can split the remote wire or even run a little link inbetween the 2 amps for that.

nope.
1 power wire from battery to cap, then 2 power off cap to each amp. then 1 grounded wire to cap, 2 grounds to each amp.
id run a full faret cap if i were you...and make sure to use good size gauge wire, dont wanna mess around when your runnin that kinda power.

Hey mohawk..can ou alternators keep up with 2 1000W amps?
You can just get distribution blocks to add another amp. No need to go back to the HU to get the remote wires...
