so here's my dilemma

Alright. I think i might have a case of a stupid shop here. but who knows. My rims are in at the shop waiting for tires. I got call from the shop yesterday, suggesting that I buy Avid H4s in 215/45/17, because the 205/40/17 Parada spec 2 (what I ordered) will make my car ride like a truck, and throw my speedo off. I calculated it and it's only 4% off with that size. Sure it would be more accurate with the Avid's but do i really care? no.

Now, are there any good reasons not to get the Parada's over the Avids?

EDIT: Also, if you guys want to suggest other makes of tires in the same performance/price range be my guest. but let me know fast. i'm about to go order em in 15 minutes or so.

I'm pretty sure that Parada Spec II are also available in the 215/45 Anyway, you probably already ordered, cause this is several hours after your post....but another good tire I'd recommend is the Nitto NT450, though its tread pattern doesn't look as nice as the Paradas.

4% is pretty significant i wouldnt recommend it, and ya it will cause problems galore.

Your ride height will change because the wheel circumference is differenent and the wheel radius is different, its not as bad as cutting your springs, but on that track.....dont change tires sizes, it changes your suspension geometry and will wreck havoc on your car.
