i need to upgrade and i don't want to upgrade again for a long time. i've heard great things about rainbows but cannot hear them around here. i can't really afford the prolines like you've got. i guess the contours share the same tweeter as the pro's, but have a different midbass right? anyway they are like 400 (6.5s) on ampman or sometin like that and i would get a warranty and all that which i wouldn't get at most places except retail stores which suck by me!!! so if you think something is better let me know, but if the rainbows are all they are cracked up to be i'll spend the extra money. (p.s. powered by jl 300/2) by the way did you get your second idmax yet? and what is your e-mail cause i would like to ask you some sound deadening questions if that's alright.

okay..well just going the tweeter which is the smoothest most detailed tweeter my ears have ever had the pleasure of hearing..I'd say go for them if you can. The Midbass difference shouldn't be much. No should midrange detail. The only difference will be slightly weaker midbass(which will still be better than many components out there. And might not have the same midrange detail as some of the higher end sets..

Cheers
