Working on car now, need help!!!

I need help. I am trying to remove the rear struts so that I can install new bushings. However, the bolt underneath the car that holds the shock in place is very difficult to take off. It is hard to get directly underneath the bolt, so I'm having to rely on pure strenght. I have tried and tried and still can't take off the damn bolt. I need to take it off right now, can anyone help?

Also be very careful on the rear passenger side, there is a cable that runs behind the rotor. When you release your rotor and it drops down you have a good chance of braking it...145.00 replacement, so be careful.

Umm, I just had my springs put in today... And if I'm correct, we took out the bolt connected to the strut by me stepping on the brake rotor, while my friend kept unscrewing the bolt.. but make sure you have it as loose as you can b4 you do that....

Don't let the rotors drop you may then damage the break line and you REALLY don't want to do that. The bolt will not come out easily unless you you lift the car. If that doesn't work you can try taking a spare jack and puting it under the strut to allow for there to be less pressure on the bolt which will then allow you to take it out. Take the jack and place it under the strut and jack it up slowly and line everything up so the bolt is looser and not supporting the weight of the spring. I don't know if that helps at all or makes sense but I thought I would try.

thats why you unbolt the brake line and some other line thats connected to back behind the rotor piece, then you cant damage them cuz its off...

If you disconnect your brakes lines you will then need to bleed your brakes.

I wouldn't even try it without the proper equipment. Even my well experienced tire guy said the rear shocks were a tough job.

Wait till tomorrow and take it to a good shop.

The rear suspension on these cars really isn't that difficult. BUT I will agree without the proper equipment it will be difficult. Especially if you are just following a DIY and have never done a suspension before. There are to many things to go wrong. Even when we did mine it was a pain in the a$$ and we have all the equipment you can think of and both myself and the people working with me have plenty of experience with suspension.

Well I'm sure he's figured it out by now, but 2cute, I should have said that I meant that there was a bolt that just keeps the brake line from like wiggling around while ur driving, which is connected to the rotor... That way when you step on it, the brake line wont go down with the rotor... iono, wutevers... he prob got it by now...
