Plus sizing and Rubbing tires
Hiya all, I'm seeing a few posts about tires rubbing with 205/45 17, and wider tires.
Does anyone have their car lowered 1.5" and have 215/45 R17 tires? Do they rub?
I was set on getting this size, but I'll be dropping my car probably with the Eibach Sportline springs. If the tires rub, I'll need to figure out something else....
What do you guys run, springs and tires that do not rub. Messed up camber is not an option for me...

225... maybe, you may rub I think. I know you won't rub without drop on the 215/45 r17, but I'm not sure if the car gets dropped. I'm looking at the sportline 1.4" drop. I may get some Koni Shocks at the same time to stiffen up the ride a bit.
The tire size really isn't that important in that equasion. Most likely they rub because there is an improper offset or no offest at all. I have a 40 mm offest dropped 1.3 inches and 205/40ZR17. I do not have any rubbing problem.
Let me put it this way I know you can easily put 19s on these cars with room to spare. My boy has 18s with 215/35R18 and his 7th gen vic is dropped 3.5 inches he has no rubbing problems.
I had 235/40zr17 on 17X7.5 wheels with a 42mm offset and my car was lowered 2 inches all around and had 1 degree negative camber in the rear and .5 neagative camber in the front and they didn't rub anywhere
