final issue.....sub(s)....NEED SUGGESTIONS
I'm looking at one of these options, if you have your own suggestion, throw it into the mix....
1 x JL 13w7
2 x JL 12w6 v2 <dont know a thing about except they can handle 400w>
2 x 12 inch Rockford Fosgate PUNCH HX2's
2 x alpine TYPE R 15's <look pretty cheeply made>
2 x iDMAX 12's <on backorder for eternity, dont think they are worth the wait>
These subs are going into a custom fiberglass enclosure and will be running off a rockford fosgate power 1050s amp <535w x 2 at 2 ohms, 1100w bridged at 4 ohms>. Since the 13w7 runs at three ohms, it will be pushin the amp bridged down to 3 ohms and power output should be just shy of 1400 watts. The bottom two choices are pretty much dead, especially the iDMAX, they are on a HUGE backorder, the alpines just looked cheap. The new w6 v2's are an object of intrigue, I really dont know a thing about them except that they were just recently released.
When looking at prices,
w7 for $1150
2 x w6v2's for ??? i believe it'll be around $1000 - 1100
2 x punch hx2's for $575
2 x type r's for $1000
2 x idmax for $1300
so except for the fosgates, they are all pretty close......
space isnt really an issue, i got the whole trunk to work with, spare tire is going under.
I listen to basically all kinds of music, generally stuff that will be played in clubs <dance, hip hop, house, etc...>....
I NEED a setup that will be extremely clean and tight when it comes to SQ, yet its gotta get me into the mid 140's atleast...high 140's prefered...150+ BONUS
PLEASE POST YOUR SUGGESTIONS, THEY ARE GREATLY APPRICIATED!!!!

W6v.2's Not out yet...(far as I know and I work for a JL dealer)...
Type R's.. ehhh..good overall..
W7..ineficcient.
2 IDMAX's from MMXpress.com $900CAD. But you have to find means of getting them across the border..otherwise $1300..
RF anythign subs= Decent sound..but you'll never be able to compete in SQ...
Maybe try 1 IDMAX D2 and brigdge your amp to it..it will take the power and love it...and in a civic hit over 140 DB's..

the W7 is somewhat power hingry and requires a fair bit of juice to get it moving nicely.. the IDMAX doesn't.. the JL w6v.2 is not available yet..JL had te W7 on their site 6 months before it's release

Would they be a good choice? I can give them ideal power since there rms is 400....
basically i think it comes down to 1 13w7 or 2 12w6v2's...rf's are loud...too loud..played with them today a lil.....

Maybe I missed something above but 1400 to a single 13W7 is more than enough juice for that sub. I've listened to a 13W7 powered by a JL 1000/1 and that was more bass than you will ever need. Tight and tasteful when required but then can just downright beat you silly when cranked. Awesome piece of equipment. The amp ain't so bad either!

take a looksie at this too then linky link these are some of tha loudest subs i've ever heard when they are run right. any model of these are great. i'd reccommend if you didnt go with a jl sub that you seriously take a look at these. i work part time in a car audio shop so i've heard quite alot of different things, and these are far from sh!tty.
