I think it would come down to your sound preference...they're kinda similar in sound, though by no means the same. I personally like the HKS sound.

I say it would come down to sound because there would be no significant power gain with either, if any at all.

i have to disagree with this, i can feel some sort of difference with my magnaflow catback. the best exhaust performance to sound ratio available for our cars.

i would say go for hks, but its only rear section. if u don't care for a full catback, then just get the hks simply cause it looks better...in my opinion i have the magnaflow catback and i'm sorry to say that it's ok but i'm disappointed with it

I love my magnaflow the only thing I dont like is that it sticks out a little bit from the rear bumper. But if you have a body kit such as oem it will hide it. Over all its a great exhaust for the money I have had many complments.

yah,
what about sound???

I've heard that the magnaflow is a quiet system and I don't think that the HKS would be that loud cause it uses the stock mid pipe.

I wonder which one would give more HP??

Here ya go...this is the universal muffler:

Stainless, $257:

Titanium, $427:

HKS is supposed to come out with a full cat-back system for around $700 but I am not sure when...I think I read somewhere that it'll be sometime next May or so.

I've heard it on a 6th gen Civic and its pretty loud but deep...haven't heard the magnaflow (Except for the video floating around here) so I wouldn't be able to compare.
You've gotta realize one thing, though: Any muffler is not going to be too loud by itself, since you still retain the factory mid-muffler (yes, it's a muffler, not a resonator).
If you want it to be loud, you gotta go cat-back and use a resonator--or none at all.

HKS is not coming out with a full-catback. They did testing and dynoed their prototypes, a HKS rear section and a full-catback.
What they found was that both systems offered about the same improvement in hp performance. I also believe that the catback hurt the torque and the rear section allowed torque to remain at stock levels.

So HKS decided to only come out with a rear section only
