AEM Cold Air installation

I know this topic has been covered in all possible ways, but i have one very simple question!
My friend told me i have to remove my front bumper in order to install the AEM Cold Air, but in the DIY it doesnt say anthing about it, he says he knowss someone who already did it...
so do i have to?

The DIY for the cai is from my 2k1... no bumper removal.

Your friend might be thinking of the Injen... because there is a way to install the Injen in such a way that the filter is in an empty space right under the passenger side headlamp.

Notice the area where my air horns are mounted...

that sucks for the injen cold air. so u would have to remove the front bumper every time to get to the filter say if u want to clean it?? the aem cold air is much more convenient in this case
