Location of engine bolt for coolant flush???

Hey all....

Does anyone know where the heck the engine bolt for releasing the coolant lives??? I'll tried looking at the owner's manual, but it's basically worthless.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Thanks.

There probably is a big white bolt type thing at the bottom of the radiator. It should be big enough for you to turn with your hand. YOu'll know it when you see it. That is where it has been with my previous hondas but haven't looked on the vic. I suspect that you'll find it there.

<<------#2 is the drain bolt, so it would be on the right hand side of the radiator, looking at the car from the front and apparently, accessible from inside the front of the engine bay.

Are you referring to the drain bolt on the radiator or the drain bolt to the head?

I'm referring to the drain bolt on the ENGINE. The plastic one on the bottom of the radiator is pretty much in the open and very accessible. If anyone has done this before, let us know. THANKS AGAIN.

On my acura integra and previous civic, the drain bolt is located on the block behind the exhuast manifold. That is what you need to open to get the coolant out and do a proper flush.

I'll check a little later on to see exactly where it is located in our civics.

your right....its a wing nut. Just make sure the engine is cool, that coolant can be real hot.
