Decided on rims..now what tire size?!
I was originally going to get 215/45/17's but i knew that would make it ride a little bit higher..i dont really want it any higher if i can help it...but i want to take up as much of the wheel gap as possible...and i might lower it later...what do you guys think would be best...some pics might help give me an idea.
Thanks!

why would it do that? the tire makes the wheel exactly if not slightly larger than stock?
thats the perfect size fitting dude. Your speedo would be practically dead on. Now if you go larger, say 215/50/r17 your speedo is going to be 4 % slower than your actual speed. A 55 series would be 7.5 % slower. Now going larger will fill that gap but it would suck when your speedo says your going 75 and your goin 85...
What most people tend to do and drive me nuts is go smaller, to the 215/40/17. your speedo says your going 75 but your only going 70, and the gap gets bigger between the fenderwell and tire. Beleive me, stay to spec on the diameter of the tire.
use the tire calculator it helps alot!
I'm debating between 16's with 215/50/r16 is an almost identical match to the stock 185/65/r15
or going with some 17's mounted 215/45/r17 which 0.6% too big
my 205/60/r15's are .8% too big right now, no biggie if your within 1 % your good

ok I reread that and I think you were also referring to raising the vehicle?
your car at that size would increase in total hight a whole 0.2875 inches......negligable and impossible to notice
