Wet driver floor board

Hello,

First of I would like to note that these carpets hold a heck ton of water! I was wringing it out for an hour and I emptied about 2L of rain water.

I checked the sun roof drain and it was draining fine, no leaks.

I checked for any holes or corrosion on the floors but was unsuccessful.

I took apart the windshield cowl and no leaks from there as well.

As it rains, the water is slowly building up under the mats and I’m not sure how it’s getting in.

Could it be my windshield seal?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

This is the seal on the other side of the vehicle taken a while ago. It’s dark out so I can’t take a photo of the other side right now. On the driver side, there is no seal from the bottom, all the way up to 3 inches from where it curves. It was already coming off when I bought the car and when I went long driving, I was hearing this loud hissing noise and it turns out the driver side seal had been lifted up, so I pulled over and cut where it was loose.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I do not know why the forum was waiting for approval on this thread. Anyways, I assume this is the same issue as your other thread?

I don't think it's the same issue. Do you think water comes in from the windshield?

Re: Wet driver floor board

That molding around the windshield is not a water tight seal. It's just a trim piece. The glass has sealer around the outside holding and sealing it to the body. If you don't think this leak is related to the doors in your other thread, you will have to start spraying down the outside of the car to pinpoint the leak.
