I also got a question I have a manual swap with a manual ecu and a vtec manual harness only downside( my engine was a d17 non vtec) Is im limited to 4k rpm I still have my auto engine non vtec will i be able to do it or will I need a manual non vtec harness

Yes it because my car I just finish the auto to manual swap I bought a donor car had a d17a2 harness which I use also with the ecu I just want to know if I can use my auto d17 harness with the manual ecu

No the engine was not swap at all just the transmission

ok, was confused since you said "was non-VTEC"
If you are using a VTEC ECU on a non-VTEC engine, the ECU will try to find the VTEC, but not there, thus it will go into limp mode (RPM restricted)
an auto ECU will try to find an auto trans, might trigger a CEL
