07 civic hybrid consuming a lot of fuel

07 civic hybrid consuming a lot of fuel
Im getting like 8.5l/100km, thats very bad. Tire pressure is good, ima battery is probably good, no check engine and i drive it like a grandma. When i even touch the gas pedal the fuel consumption gauge instantly goes to the max 12l/100km. My friend that has a corolla with even bigger engine gets like 7,5l/100km. What can i do to fix this?

Check spark plugs, air filter, etc.

The car has only 123kkm mileage, could the spark plugs be already bad? And things like air filter are all new

back in the day, the plugs lasted a lot less... 30-50k km and the electrode was way corroded
