Rough Idle When AC is OFF
Noticed today that my civic idle runs rough and fluctuates as soon as I shut the AC off. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue. Going to check all the intake fittings to see if there is a boot cracked along with checking the serpentine belt for wear. If all checks out I will then look at the spark plugs and fuel injectors. Thanks for all and any help.

When the ac compressor engages it raises idle rpm, which smooths out a low idle situation. What -/+ rpm range does the engine idle at when it's at operating temperature with the compressor off? Does it surge or pulse? Any CEL codes?

I think I got mine sorted out - I disconnected the battery cable and ran the car through the computer reset/idle relearn and it's been doing better. It also more than likely needs plugs and some other maintenance done on it that I've neglected since it has been my wife's car for the last several years. Her and I have switched and I'm trying to get it caught up on anything she might have missed, etc. I appreciate you getting back to me.
