So I recently purchased an 82 civic wagon. It's in fairly solid shape, and the engine cranks but wont stay running. Guy I got it off of said the carb needs to be cleaned and it needs a fuel pump. I figure I'll replace the pump, filter, and tune the whole ignition system up. Are there any particular areas or issues with these vehicles I should keep an eye out for? I'm also curious what upgrades, if any, are available for it, suspension, and over all performance wise? I'm not trying to build a race car, but I want it to run efficiently and be a great daily driver. I cant leave anything stock. Also, I've heard that some brake parts from newer Accord bolt right on to these hubs. Is this true?
This is my first Honda that I've owned, but I've worked on several different ones over the years. I've not found a lot of info online on these and any help or information this forum could provide would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
