I just recently had the transmission replaced in my 2001 Civic EX at 184,000 miles with a "used" transmission with 85,000 miles. It comes with a 27 month warranty and unlimited mileage during that time. This was done by the local Honda dealership which was pricey but I was willing to pay for some sort of guarantees.

When I tested it out initially, it seems fine but there is a slight vibration when approaching 60 mph and above when under a load. I thought at first it may be an out of balanced tire so I had the tires rotated and balanced. ( A separate tire store did the free rotation and balancing ) So, I took it out again and have a tad less vibration but it is still there. Maybe I am being a bit sensitive but when I put a load ( as in going up hill or accelerating ) above 55mph - 70mph I do have some vibration still.

What could be causing this vibration ( not very severe but noticeable, like an out of balance tire ) ? What should I say to the mechanic at the dealership to investigate when I take it back in?

My first though is a transmission mount allowing little more vibration past. Those are seldom put back in the exact position they were before.
