2002 Civic HX Coupe P1298, p0145, p1130
I bought this really clean 02 Civic manual trans last week.. 1 owner, 141k miles and after 357 miles of driving it I finally turned the AC on today and then the CE light came on. I stopped by Advanced Auto on the way home to get the codes checked.. I am picking up a new ELD tomorrow from a Honda dealer I pass on the way home from work so that's not a huge deal and I assume it might be because I was running the AC?
My questions are more for the other two codes. I know the p1130 says to replace the O2 sensors with the "kit" but what about the 3rd O2 sensor? I's that what the 0145 was for? I'm guessing there probably isn't any other place to get the correct O2 sensors other than searching online and get the $266 kit for the two up on/by the manifold, but I don't find much info about the last one so is there a specific part number I need to look for? I know I shouldn't go the cheap route for replacing these with something other than OEM but damn $266 is pricey for two O2 sensors!!

ELD code is common failure as you probably know (TSB), just replace it. Failure is solder joints inside it, has zero to do with the AC and the code may have been there long before the CEL came on, as this code alone does not normally turn on the CEL.
Start with fixing the P0145 (3rd O2 sensor slow response) and the other code P1130 should stay away after fixing that.
Troubleshooting says to replace 2nd and 3rd sensors as a matched set (very important)
but I'm betting you can look them up (probably separately) on the Denso or NTK website as well. Make sure to check which brand was originally on your car and stick with that brand again. You might need to wire wheel the sensors to find the company name.
I've got pics of a matched pair of NTKs for a 03-05 Hybrid along with a paper stating they must be replaced as a set that came in the package, but the Honda part number for the hybrid is not the same as for the HX. (I found Hondas # 06365-PMP-A00 for your HX)

Ill be replacing the ELD tomorrow.
Ill pull the O2's out this weekend and get the part numbers.
I came across your post where you showed the part number for that pair and that's what I used to search around online and find out prices so I was hoping you would reply. If I can pick up all three at a decent price I thought about doing that but then again I don't really want to change things if they don't need replacing just yet.
Thanks for your help as always.

Quick check at the dealers selling online shows about 385 MSRP, of course a bit cheaper through the same online dealers......but if you know the NTK (or denso) direct-fit numbers I bet you can probably find much lower prices either online or at your local parts store.
If it hasn't coded for the front sensor, I'd leave it alone until it causes a problem.

OEM part number upstream 36531PLE305
OEM part number downstream 36532PMMA01
OEM prices are over $300 each but if you type the OEM numbers into ebay some aftermarket options come up for $40-$60 (I've never used the aftermarket ones though).

Be careful here.....OP has a USA HX, it has THREE O2 sensors (one LAF sensor in front, and two downstream O2's)....... the upstream number you gave looks right but the part number for the downstream pair is not the same as the other regular cars.

As of right now I am just going to wire brush the **** out of my existing sensors and search online for those since I know they work. I know Hondas are finicky.

Got my #2 and #3 O2 sensors out and looked them over and after cleaning them up they are both NTK's. I'll post pics of both but on the #2 one I make out 1G18 4612 and on the last one all I can make out is 1H7 and what I think is 3830? It's to hard to tell.

Just google ntk.com and look them up on the website...
The numbers you found probably aren't usable part numbers

I looked on the NTK website I see part numbers 24665, 24422, and 24423 for all three of my sensors?? I can't seem to find anything with the numbers that are on the sensors. I just searched my car.. 2002 civic and 9 came up. I think the 2nd one might be 24422 and the 3rd one might be 24423 on the NTK site. I found them on autozone.com and 24423 only fits an HX it seems.

I just looked at the NGK (NTK) site and came up with
24422 B1S2 sensor #2
24423 B1S3 sensor #3
You didn't have a fault code related to the primary sensor B1S1, so I didn't list it.

Update: So I replaced the ELD and never reset the CE light as I figured it would just come on again for the 02 sensor codes. finished out that tank of gas and filled it up last night after 376 miles, drove the car to work this morning and of course the CE light goes off without switching out the 02 sensors. The new ones showed up two days ago and I was planning on swapping them out tonight and resetting the ECU lol. I will probably just go ahead and swap them out since it shot the code already for them and I already paid for them though.

Slow response codes are not always constant failures, most are intermittent. Basically, it coded for it at some point, it's best to replace them because it will most likely code again if you don't.

Got the new NTK sensors swapped out/installed, and the car is running great, no CEL's or anything after 70 miles so far. Anyone else that is needing to replace the O2 sensors should do what was suggested to me in this thread... go straight to the NTK website and match up the sensors with what you currently have. It saved me about $150 over buying the sensor kit (sensors #2 & #3 on a HX) from Honda as the cheapest OEM kit I could find was $266.
