Turns over too long and won't re-start when after 40 mins driving
Hi,
I have a 57 plate Civic and over the last three months It's been taking longer to start. Yesterday after a 45 minute drive I tried to start the car again after a 15 minute break and it wouldn't start. It has started again this morning albeit very slowly.
Also sometimes the headlights flash very quickly when I'm trying to start the car.
Is this a battery issue? I'm still using the original battery.

it sounds like an electrical/wiring issue to me, most likely a grounding issue,
start by disconnecting the battery, clean the battery posts and wire terminals good with a mixture of water and baking soda, use a wire bush if you have to,
make sure everything is clean and dry before you reconnect,
inspect all main ground cables/connections, make sure they are clean, tight, and corrosion/rust free.....battery ground to frame/engine, ground from engine to frame, etc etc
