1998 civic stalled now just dies after seconds
Hey I'm new to this forum and was wondering if I could get some answers. I have a 1998 civic LX experiencing some problems. I was driving down the road and the car would shut off, ABS light would come on, and all the dials would go to zero then it would come back on. Happened mostly when I pushed the accelerator. Eventually the car wouldn't come back on and I had to pull over, put it in park, and start it again. I tried to take it to the mechanic the next day but now it shuts off within second of turning it on. When I move the key to the III position without turning it on, the P and D4 light would be on then it shut off. Don't know if that has anything to do with it. From other forums I've searched it could be the distributor or main relay but I'm not sure. Help????

When it dies does the dash go dark like someone turned the key off?
Ignition switch (the electrical section) is a common problem area.
