Hey there guys I haven't used this Forum in a long time. I have a 97 honda civic d16y7 motor and recently had the timing belt and water pump changed along with its other external belts. Ran the car for about 500 miles or less i start to have a whistling sound around the belt area. It was quiet at first but it started to get real noticeable. It only makes the sound when the car is parked and it is at its regular idle. The whistling sound goes off when you rev the engine or drive the car. The noise also goes off when i turn the AC on and the whistling noise slightly comes back on but not as loud. Im very positive its coming from the belt area of the car idk if its the pulleys or something else. Noise is confusing sometimes I THINK i hear it from the intake but mostly from the belt area or drivers side. Bought it back to the shop they couldn't find where the noise is coming from and said the noise is something real minor since it does't affect the performance. But i still need help on diagnosing where this noise is coming from. Thanks for reading and suggestions I would really appreciate it!!
