Preventative Maintenance: First time civic owner

Greetings everybody> New to this, everything that is (forum, honda civic, working on a car) I recently bought a 2000 Honda civic DX Hatchback with 182,000 miles on it & am looking for ideas to to keep it running strong. So far I'v done new front shocks, fuel filter, flushed my radiator & switched from green to Honda blue, new spark plugs, replaced both of my oxygen sensors, New rotors & pads, new shoes in the back & have changed the oil 4 times now. I did all this by my self & got through it (thanks youtube) though I was wondering what more could be done without going over kill. Any ideas? ATF change? Cheers

Hi! How about the timing belt? Changing the ATF never hurts either!

I hope your using the recommended oil type and use synthetic. It's so much better, you can feel the difference. Did you do the transmission fluid too, redline or honda is best for honda cars. And just use good gas in it not those cheap gas places, if you use good oil and gas the car will come back almost to when it came out the factory. I just recently bought a 2002 honda civic lx, I want to vtec it but I don't see the point. Use to hate civics, had a integra gsr before ate up civics all day except for my friends si, he was running 19lbs of boost, thing was quick. Anyways good luck on your build.

Top of the line oil filter too, airfilter, transmission may have an in line filter - use Honda ATF, new Honda brake fluid.
