95 Civic LX: Bubbles on dipstick?
So, I have a 95 Civic LX 5-speed (187k miles) that I've had a year and a half, and recently it has been acting sluggish as if it has the beginnings of a blown head gasket. There's this noise when I accelerate in 1st gear, like something is loose on the undercarriage (I checked, no issue there). Then I eventually smell this burning metal smell as if it were a failing tranny (like my old Cherokee did on the 5 North).
I checked my oil when I got to church tonight, and I saw tiny frothy bubbles on the dipstick, like you would when your HG is blown. Moments ago, I read other threads that explained how this could happen when it's hot, and that it should be checked when cold (which I will do in the morning). My coolant level hasn't fluctuated at all, I'm NOT overheating, NO smoke blowing out the tailpipe, and the only tell-tale leakage I see anywhere on the car is near the passenger side CV boot (not even closely related to my problem, I know).
Who has experience with this? I don't have the cash to get the heads/cylinders redone (if needed), but I heard about this Blue Devil sealant that others have used with great success (which I would only use as a long-term temporary Band-Aid).
Anyone?

I saw tiny frothy bubbles on the dipstick,
Post back about the oil level, is it like a couple inches above the full mark?
