What are these springs?

We just bought a 2001 Civic LX coupe. It has these no name springs on them. Who makes these?

And, the struts feel totally blown. I'm looking into Koni Sports if that is the correct option for lowered cars.

Re: What are these springs?

They resemble Tein springs in color but look a little on the lighter green side (maybe its the light).

Look on the spring for any writing, it might be on the inward side of the spring

There are numerous eBay brand springs of various colors so if it doesn't have a brand on it then I would say its one of those.

Yes Koni makes an excellent shock.

They look like tein s-tech, but they might be knock offs.

Re: What are these springs?

They are indeed ebay knock-offs. I bought some Tein s-techs and Stagg struts/shocks to replace it all. My wife decided against spending on Koni stuff for now. She wants to get through college and then she might upgrade to something else anyway.

Re: What are these springs?

Those knockoffs are pretty sketchy. I have seen a video of knockoffs being tested next to an authentic Tein spring and it snapped after like 200,000 rebounds, which is not very long when you think about the frequency rate your suspension encounters on a day to day basis.

Re: What are these springs?

Update: Still enjoying the Staggs. Not real high performance like Koni but they are very civilized. Good enough for now.

Re: What are these springs?

I've got some stagg with suspension techniques springs on my Del Sol daily. They work just fine for day to day.

Re: What are these springs?

Well dang we still have the Civic. But the front Stagg struts are officially blown. Gonna order some Tokico HP struts now.
