21mm RSX rear sway bar review
21mm RSX rear sway bar review
Hi guys, I haven't posted on here for a few years.
Yesterday, I, out of impulse, purchased a used 21mm rear sway bar that came straight from an RSX and thought I'd provide a review for those who feel like they may need some more information or reviews from various users with various suspension setups. So here is my perspective on this piece of metal.
I drive an 2001 EM2 that's an EX model.
The install was pretty straight forward. I just left the end links on the car and only took off the bar. End links were surprisingly in good condition. It's pretty much a direct bolt on. Just need a can of PB blaster and some elbow grease.
There is a DIY you can follow somewhere else on the forum.
Anyways, after the installation, I went for a minute drive just around the block and was blown away at how my car handles. I forgot to mention, I'm on bone stock suspension. Stock springs, stock shocks, stock everything. So the only suspension mod I have is this 21mm bar. My car can turn a lot sharper with significantly less body roll. On the freeway, the car feels WAY more stable. Even small things like changing lanes feels way better and safer. The car is much more maneuverable. I took the car on some back roads with some twisty turns and I was able to take the corners much faster. I pushed the car to its limit and the car still feels like it WANTS to understeer, but it.. can't. lol
The car still does understeer but it's a lot more neutral compared to the stock bar.
Now I want to lower my car to stiffen up the ride. I now realize how soft my ride is now that my car can actually turn hard.
Overall, the upgrade is so worth it. I paid $50 for the bar, bushings, and brackets. Hope this helps some of you guys.

Re: 21mm RSX rear sway bar review
You can look online at ebay, or people sell them from time to time on this site. Mine is coming in today and I found it here in the for sale section.
I'm so excited to install it!
