1993 Honda Civic EG Overheating
I need to help to figure out whats going with my car, I have changed the thermostat a couple times and it overheats still. i have checked the hoses with the thermostat in and they are fine. I have drained the coolant and put new coolant in. so i have my car without a thermostat now, also my car is running a little bit lean, im not sure that is the reason why my car lean since i have no thermostat
I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

Have you checked to see if the fluid is flowing when running? You may also have something blocked. You may also have a bad temp sending unit.
Re: 1993 Honda Civic EG Overheating
Check to see if its got heat flowing through the vents via HVAC controls. If its kicking decent heat out then the coolant is flowing, And yes no thermostat can cause a rich condition, Not sure about lean. Because when you first start a cold car it goes in to open loop fuel trim, Which is a strategy much like a choke on a carburetor. Dumps fuel in and restricts air for a easier starting and stays like that before it gets to a certain temperature, then FRED takes over. So if your car isnt reaching this temperature, It remains in open loop and doesnt change to closed loop. I would definitely get the coolant system pressure tested, It may be a blown head gasket
