no power going to my wheels

So my engine seems to be working just fine its starts up fine and it goes into gear fine however as soon as i try to start moving i hear a grinding noise and it feels as though no power is going to the wheels. I recently changed my cv axles and the transmission was changed two months ago. Does anyone know what could be the problem and how to fix it? I'm trying to avoid taking it to a mechanic so any help would be much appreciated.

Re: no power going to my wheels

Axle popped out, or popped out and sheared the end off at the snap ring groove....?

Re: no power going to my wheels

so i forgot to replace the snap clips on the end of the axles when i put them into the transmission. Then when i went to put them on i couldnt figure out how they went on the axle or how they fit into the trany being so big. But when i stuck my finger into the trany i felt around and found that there is a groove for it to go along.
