Are civics rougher on the road compare to cars ?
Are civics rougher on the road compare to cars ?
My question is very generall.. are civic much less comfortable at bumps and potholes than any other car ? my car is ride is very rough on broken roads and every mechanic i have taken it to have checked and sured that my suspensions are fine my tires are perfect. and oh i dont even have any lowerings .. so is it the part of civic having a rough-er ride than other cars
P.s i have 2004 civic ex with 156 km's

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Yup. It's a small, light car. It's not a Caddy or a Benzo.
Depends on what you were used to. If you had a big car in the past, this will feel rough.
I got out of a Park Avenue, into a 12 Civic. Two different worlds.

Seems like the Toyos I have been in were sprung softer then the comparable size Hondas.

Corollas are soft in my opinion. My cousin has a type S corolla (which I thought would be more sporty) and it road very nice but it didn't corner well. Maybe its because I'm used to my car. A civic is an economy car that handles well from the factory. I think they have a good balance of comfort and handleing.

If you want a softer ride, then I would sell it and buy a different car. Can't do much to make it softer except maybe put in an air suspension.
Part of owning an entry level, small economy car that handles well (civic) is having a "rougher" ride.

Check for high tire pressure. A Civic is a little bumpy, you get a lot of road feedback but you shouldn't be hitting your head on the roof on every bump

lol nah im not hitting my head on the rooof but ya it is still bad .. tire pressures are all okay that was the first thing every mefchanic checked

to be more specific how i exactly feel when i go over the bumps is like if u were standing on a stationary boat .. like the float feeling. thats how my car is. But it doesnt "bounce". it almost feels like car has no suspensions.
